When you’re spending the night out in the wilderness, getting adequate protection from the elements is crucial for survival. This is especially true for adventurous souls who wish to camp or hike in the winter, when temperatures can dip below -40 degrees Celsius in some regions. One of the most important pieces of gear to have is a high quality winter sleeping bag, which not only ensures you retain precious body heat, but keeps you snug and comfortable throughout the night.
Read our latest guide about the best sleeping bags.
Regular sleeping bags are usually made from soft foam, nylon, polyester or taffeta. While they are low cost and breathable, they are not durable, and definitely not made to withstand extreme temperature. Winter sleeping bags, on the other hand, are built differently, as they are made from materials that provide better insulation against the cold. They are also much more durable against tears.
With so many choices on the market, selecting the right sleeping bag can feel intimidating, but we’ve narrowed down a list of features you should look out for, and our top picks for the best winter sleeping bags.
Read our complete guide about the best 2 person sleeping bags.

Key Features To Consider

  • Insulation

Winter sleeping bags work by slowing down the transfer of heat from the sleeper’s body and trapping it in a layer of air around them. The insulation is usually sandwiched between two layers of fabric, namely the shell on the outside and the lining. High-grade insulation will have good warmth-to-weight ratio; so you will only need a small amount of insulation (which translates to a lighter sleeping bag) to keep warm.
There are generally two types of insulation: down or synthetic, each with its own pros and cons:

  • Down Insulation

Traditionally, down from birds such as geese and ducks has been used in bedding, clothing and outdoor gear since ancient times – and for good reason, as it is not only light weight, but also traps heat well. Sleeping bags made from down are therefore excellent against the cold, and require a smaller amount of insulation to achieve the same amount of warmth compared to synthetic insulation. Down bags are also extremely durable, easier to compress, and take up less room, making it convenient to pack or fit in with the rest of your camping gear. The major downside with down insulation is that it loses the ability to insulate when the material gets wet. Most manufacturers avoid this by treating the down with water repellent, but the higher cost may also factor in a user’s decision to go for synthetic insulation instead. Down is often recommended for winter hiking due to its lighter weight and less bulk.

  • Synthetic Insulation

Much cheaper than down, synthetic insulation has the advantage of being hypoallergenic and quick drying. Its insulating properties are not affected even when wet, but since they are denser, does not pack down as well, taking up more space and weight in your backpack. Synthetic bags are recommended for those on a tight budget, or if hiking in areas where there is a higher chance of getting wet.

Temperature Rating (TR)

The European EN13537 standard measures TR based on several parameters.

  1. Extreme temperature – the coldest temperature a person would survive in, without freezing to death.
  2. Lower Limit – The temperature for an average man to be comfortable.
  3. Comfort temperature – The temperature for an average woman to be comfortable, as women generally need more insulation than men.

However, the industry lacks a universal standard, as some manufacturers use their own tests. Most if not all will often only list the lower limit temperature. While the ratings are useful as guides, users should remember that there are a multitude of other factors affecting the level of warmth, including their own body temperature (which differs from person to person), the temperature of the environment, prior exposure to the elements, fitness level, gender, age, sleeping habits, hunger, fatigue and sleepwear. It is recommended to get a sleeping bag that is rated five to 10 degrees below the average temperature or the place you’ll be sleeping in.

  • Shape and Size

The shape and size of your bag affects its effectiveness at trapping heat and keeping the cold out. The bigger a bag is, the more room there is to move around, but that also means there is more air to heat. “Tall” or large bags are usually around 78 inches or 200 cm, average-length bags are 72 inches or 185 cm, while short bags are about 66 inches or 170 cm. Three of the most common shapes are mummy, rectangular and tapered rectangular.

  • Mummy

Considered the best for insulation, mummy sleeping bags enclose the body snugly, being wider at the shoulders and narrowing down towards the feet. They are ideal for extremely cold temperatures, since there is less air inside that needs to be heated. They often feature a drawcord at the neckline to trap heat as effectively as possible. Mummy bags tend to be lighter and easier to pack, but some might find it uncomfortable due to the restrictive shape.

  • Rectangular

The rectangular is one of the most common styles of sleeping bags, as they are comfortable, with plenty of room to move about in. While still useful for mild winters and light weather conditions, they are not ideal for harsh environments since there is a lot more air to heat up within, and the bags are usually larger and heavier.

  • Tapered Rectangular

A good all-rounder, the tapered rectangular shape falls somewhere between the rectangular and the mummy, providing enough space to wriggle around in, but with the mummy’s slightly tapered shape for better warmth and efficiency. They are relatively lightweight as well and easy to pack.

  • Weight

A sleeping bag is likely going to take up most of the real estate in your backpack. Depending on your type of activity, weight is likely going to be a priority. Most winter sleeping bags can weigh anywhere between 1 to 3 lbs and above. If you have a tough, long trek ahead of you, you will likely want a lighter bag that packs down well so you will not be fatigued by the end of your journey.

  • Shell and Lining

The outside, or the ‘shell’ of a sleeping bag is as equally important as the inside. Most bags feature ripstop nylon or polyester, both of which are very durable, and are treated with a durable water repellent (DWR) finish. This allows water to slide off rather than soak through the fabric. However, DWR-treated bags are less breathable and traps perspiration, reducing the ability of the insulation to trap heat. The bag lining, on the other hand, is usually not treated with DWR, so it helps to draw away body moisture.

They may not look much, but a sleeping bag’s hardware can make a huge difference in comfort and ease of use. You will need easy-to-operate, high quality zippers that do not get stuck. Most bags feature two zippers to allow users to open the bag from the inside and outside, and there are also full, half or three-quarter length zips that finish at the knee or calf for easy entry and exit. Meanwhile, additional features such as hoods and drawcords help to prevent loss of heat from the head, with some even offering a pillow pocket for comfort. Internal pockets allow sleepers to keep items such as glasses and electronics safe within.

1. Browning Camping McKinley -30 Degree Sleeping Bag

Warmth & Insulation
Large and roomy, the Browning Camping McKinley is ideal for camping or hunting trips with the RV. The inside features TechLoft, a synthetic insulation which consists of multi-hole, staple-length micro-denier fibres with a siliconised finish for maximum insulation and loft.
Its two layer offset construction helps to eliminate cold spots, while the insulated chest and zipper baffles work to provide maximum heat retention, as does the contoured hood.
Meanwhile, the outer shell comprises of a durable 210T nylon diamond ripstop fabric which is resistant against tears, paired with a brushed polyester liner to wick away moisture. While advertised with a temperature rating of -30 degrees, we recommend using the McKinley inside a canvas tent or cabin, with additional sleepwear such as wool socks, warm bottles or an underpad.
Shape, Size & Weight
For those who like comfort and wiggle room, the McKinley offers plenty, with an oversized rectangular design measuring 36 x 90 inches – the size of a twin mattress when laid out on the ground. The bag itself weighs 12 lbs and 12 ounces, with a fill weight of about 160 ounces. Owing to its bulk and size, the bag is best used when you are able to transport it in an RV rather than backpacking, since carrying it across long distances is no mean feat.
While mummy-shaped bags are usually the best at retaining heat, the McKinley offers a fair balance of insulation and comfort. It takes longer to heat up due to the large interior volume, but compensates by offering more wiggle room and added thickness for a more restful night’s sleep.
Additional Features
The McKinley’s zippers are nearly full length, ending about eight inches from the bottom. A compression stuff sack and roll up straps are included, but the bag is rather difficult to put back in once it has been taken out. It also barely compresses.

  • Large and roomy
  • Comfortable
  • Good insulation for a rectangular style winter sleeping bag
  • Two layer offset construction minimises cold spots

  • Will not hold up to -30 Degrees on its own, requires additional insulation
  • Heavy, difficult to transport
  • Not for backpacking

2. TETON Sports Mammoth Queen-Size Double Sleeping Bag

Warmth & Insulation
Designed for families and couples, Teton Sports’ Mammoth queen-size double sleeping bag is ideal for warm snuggles in a cosy tent, or when laying under the stars next to a campfire. Featuring soft poly-flannel lining to wick moisture and an innovative SuperLoft Elite Hollow fiber fill that traps warmth, the Mammoth has a survival temperature rating of up to 0 degrees Fahrenheit, with a comfort rate of 30 degrees and a limit of 15. The synthetic cotton-like insulation is also hypoallergenic.
While the Mammoth is fairly warm in 20 to 30 degrees weather, using a camp pad, wearing protective gear such as hats and socks, and fluffing up the bag will ensure the best sleeping experience. Meanwhile, the thermal enhanced, double layer offset stitch construction ensures even heating and no cold spots. The shell is not waterproof but water resistant, so sometimes there is condensation especially in wetter conditions, but it also means it is less likely to trap perspiration. The bag comes in several colours, including Blue, Green, Grey, orange and Teal Taffeta, as well as Brown Canvas.
Shape, Size & Weight
When it comes to the Mammoth, size matters – at 94 x 62 inches or 239 x 157 cm, it is longer and wider than a queen-sized mattress, and should be able to fit two large adults with ease. The rectangular shape provides plenty of room to move around in, although it also takes longer for the air within to heat up. The main issue with the Mammoth is its large size and heavy weight; at 16.5 lbs, it is almost impossible to carry around in a backpack. As such, it is best used for camping trips with a camper van, or in a cabin. When packed down, it measures 28 x 15.75 x 15.75 inches.
Additional Features
The Mammoth comes with three zippers, one at each side and one on the bottom. This is particularly handy for couples to adjust ventilation and facilitate easy entry and exit without having to clamber over your partner. The two-way zippers are high quality, with anti-snag features and a nice touch is that they are taped to the bag via Velcro to ensure they don’t come undone in the middle of the night. Draft tubes provide added padding around the shoulder and along the zipper, which helps to keep drafts out. The half-circle hood with drawstring protects from the cold whilst also providing a cushion for the head. A unique feature of the Mammoth is that the bag connects to additional bags via the right and left hand zippers – so in theory, you’d be able to connect as many bags together as you prefer. Also included is a compression sack with heavy duty straps.

  • Comfort temperature of 30 degrees
  • Hypoallergenic material
  • Water resistant
  • Raft tubes for added padding
  • Half circle hood with drawstring
  • Comfortable and spacious

  • Heavy and bulky, not for backpacking
  • Hard to pack
  • Not waterproof

3. Hyke & Byke Quandary Sleeping Bag

Warmth & Insulation
Designed for adventure, Hyke & Byke’s Quandary sleeping bag is a good choice for hiking, mountaineering and backpacking, thanks to its superior weight-to-warmth ratio, lightweight and space saving properties. The insulation is a blend of natural and synthetic, with the top containing 800 grammes of 90% duck down and 10% duck feather with 650 Fill Power, which works well to trap heat. Meanwhile, the bottom features a revolutionary LofTech Base, which emulates the properties of down but is more resistant against moisture and performs better under compression. The bag’s extreme limit is 15 Degrees Fahrenheit, with a comfort rating between 23 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. It comes in five colours, including black, blue, light blue, maroon and red.
Shape, Size & Weight
The Quandary boasts a mummy-shaped construction for maximum performance, enveloping the sleeper in a snug cocoon to retain body heat. Even so, the design’s wide shoulders and large footbox ensures that there is enough room for comfort and for carrying small items such as pillows, pad, fleece blanket or silk liners. The bag comes in three lengths, namely Short for individuals up to 5’6, Regular for individuals up to 6 feet, and Long/Tall and XL for individuals up to 6’6. It compresses down to a mere 9 x 7.5 inches long, while weights range from just 2.89 for the short size to 3.24 lbs for the long, making it convenient to store in a backpack.
Additional Features
Travel with peace of mind with the Hyke & Byke’s quality assurance seal, with products that are third party tested and IDFL certified, alongside a lifetime warranty. The shell features ultra lightweight water repellent 400T 20D ripstop nylon fabric liner, while accessories include double large YKK zippers, anti-snag slider, snag-free velcro, hood and shoulder drawstrings for added warmth and horizontal baffles to keep out drafts. Durability wise, however, the bag can be a hit and miss, with some users stating that the zippers sometimes snag, and the down material comes out of the seams. It also has a smell, which might need airing out. Also included is a compression stuff sack case for storage.

  • Lightweight, ideal for backpacking
  • Available in different sizes and lengths
  • Retains heat well
  • Hood and drawstring for added warmth

  • Down material can smell
  • Quality control issues with zipper

4. TETON Sports Celsius XL Sleeping Bag

Warmth & Insulation
Stay warm and comfortable all year round with Teton’s Sports Celcius XL Sleeping Bag, a spacious option that works well for family camping trips. The bag comes with several temperature ratings, including -25, 20 and 0 degrees Fahrenheit, which reflects the survival temperature, while the comfort temperature is 20 to 30 degrees higher. Each type comes with left or right zipper options. The Celcius XL features an innovative SuperLoft Elite four-channel synthetic hollow fiber fill that emulates the ‘loft’ of down material. Paired with soft brushed poly-flannel lining and double layer construction, heat is retained whilst minimising cold spots. The bag is available in blue, green or grey colours.
Shape, Size & Weight
Measuring 90 x 36 inches, bigger campers will appreciate the Celsius’ rectangular shape and extra room. When packed down, it measures 14.25 x 19 inches. While lighter than many of the oversized ‘mammoth’ bags, it is still fairly heavy at 9.4 lbs, so if you’re travelling light, you might want to consider another option, or keep this for when you’re driving.
Additional Features
Keep the head warm and protected with the Celsius’ half-circle mummy-style hood, which is thick and padded enough to act as a pillow and comes with a drawstring to keep wind and drafts out. Left or right zippers ensures better airflow and easy access, and the bag can be zipped from within as well. Draft tubes offer additional padding around the shoulder and zipper, while an interior storage pocket lets you keep small items such as wallet or keys.
A handy feature of the Celsius is the ability to zip two bags together using the zippers – perfect for couples to snuggle. The zipper quality can be improved, however, as it has a tendency to snag or break.
Meanwhile, the sturdy taffeta ripstop shell is durable and resistant against stains, so you won’t have to clean them often. As they are not washable, spot clean by wiping down with a damp, warm cloth. The bag includes a compression sack with drawstring closure for easy storage, and has mesh hanging loops sewn in to one end to help with loose storage. The product comes with a limited lifetime manufacturer’s warranty against defects.

  • Interior storage pocket
  • Spacious and comfortable
  • Good heat retention

  • Heavy, bulky
  • Poor zipper quality

5. Coleman 0°F North Rim Mummy Sleeping Bag

Warmth & Insulation
The Coleman brand is internationally renowned for its quality camping and outdoor gear. Basic but functional, their Northrim is designed with large and tall people in mind, with a price tag that meets the requirements of those on a budget. Good for cold weather camping, the bag has a survival temperature rating as low as 0°F , although the comfort rate would be around 15 to 30 degrees. The bag boasts a polyester lining and polyester ripstop cover to keep sleepers warm from top to bottom by trapping body heat within. Meanwhile, a special quilting construction eliminates potential cold spots, and the Thermolock full-length draft tube blocks heat loss through the zipper. It comes in several colours, such as orange/camo, olive and teal/grey.
Shape, Size & Weight
The North Rim is a mummy-shaped sleeping bag, which is most effective for retaining heat. When unfurled, the North Rim measures 32 x 82 inches, and is able to accommodate most people up to 6’2 inches in height. The box-shaped foot provides added room to move, but the design is slightly tight near the top, which can be uncomfortable for those with broad shoulders. The bag weighs around 3 lbs and 11 ounces. The large size makes it difficult to carry in a backpack, even when compressed down, so it is better suited for camping trips in the car, or used in a cabin rather than backpacking.
Additional Features
An advantage of the North Rim is that the material is machine washable. Sleepers can utilise the semi-sculpted hood, which tightens with a drawstring to protect the head and seal in heat. The two-way patented ZipPlow system plows fabric away to prevent snagging during zipping, and the bag can also be unzipped at the bottom for extra ventilation if it gets too warm. Included with the bag is a stuff sack for quick and easy storage, as well as a five-year limited warranty.

  • Affordable
  • Mummy-shaped for maximum heat retention
  • Machine washable
  • Quilting construction eliminates cold spots

  • Narrow dimensions at the shoulder
  • Too large and bulky for backpacking

6. FARLAND Sleeping Bag

Warmth & Insulation
Enrich your outdoor experience with the Farland sleeping bag, a versatile all rounder that can be used not just for winter, but other seasons as well. Its main selling point, aside from the affordable pricing, is its ability to weather the cold plus a compact design that makes it convenient to carry on backpacking or hiking trips. The outer material is waterproof but breathable 290T nylon, while the inside has polyester lining that feels soft and comfortable on the skin, as well as 400 grammes of polyester fibre insulation. The polyester is hypoallergenic, quick drying and durable, while the waterproof shell prevents moisture from seeping in.
While the bag is marketed as having a survival temperature rating of 20 degrees, many users have stated that it feels more comfortable around the 45 degree mark – so it’s definitely not the warmest option on the market. It comes in a variety of colours, including Dark Blue and Black, Dark Grey and Red, in addition to single colours such as Purple, Sky Blue and Mandarin Red.
Shape, Size & Weight
The Farland comes in two shapes, namely the Envelope (Rectangular) and the Mummy. The envelope-shape measures 29.5 x 86.6 inches, while the Mummy-shaped is 33.5 x 86.6 inches. Both should be able to fit campers up to six feet tall. Both are quite a tight fit for larger campers, but the envelope offers slightly more room to move around in. The packed weight is just 4 lbs, making it easy to fit into a backpack.
Additional Features
Fold the bag quickly and easily with the Farland’s roll control design, which can be placed into an included compression sack. The bags come with either right or left zip options, and these can be connected together to form a larger double bag. However, the zipper tends to unzip itself, especially when the sleeper moves around. The good news is that the material is machine washable for quick and easy cleaning.

  • Tight fit for large campers
  • Not very warm

7. Coleman Heritage Big and Tall Adult Sleeping Bag

Warmth & Insulation
Living up to the Coleman standard of quality and value at a reasonable price is the Heritage bag, designed for big and tall adult campers. Made to withstand extreme temperatures, the bag has a heat-locking, full-cover construction – and with a survival temperature rating as low as 10 degrees Fahrenheit, is ideal for hunting and camping excursions in winter. The bag is filled with five pounds of Holofill 808 insulation, which contains high-loft, hollow-core fibres that work by trapping body heat and warm air inside the bag. Meanwhile, Fiberlock construction keeps the insulation from shifting, ensuring even warmth throughout and reducing cold spots. The downside of the bag is that the cover seems to be a thin polyester material, which might not hold up against rough conditions, while the lining is a cotton polyester blend that can trap debris and feel scratchy and uncomfortable. The material is, however, machine washable for convenience.
Shape, Size & Weight
The Heritage is pretty thick and sizable at 40 x 84 inches, and hefty at 8.9 lbs. As such, it will be difficult to transport without a car or truck. Its rectangular shape offers plenty of room, and is spacious enough to accommodate campers up to 6 feet 5 inches tall.
Additional Features
Thanks to Roll Control, the Heritage can be packed up easily by locking the edges of the bag together, while a quick cord snaps and locks it in place, eliminating the need to tie or knot the cord. This makes it particularly useful for those travelling alone. The snag-free ZipPlow system pushes away fabric, so the bag can be opened and closed easily, and features a Thermolock draft tube that prevents heat from escaping through the zipper. Bags can be zipped together for extra room as well. Although it lacks a hood and drawstring, the bag’s edges features a Comfort Cuff made of plush material, for a soft, relaxing feel close to the face. For peace of mind, the bag comes with a five-year limited warranty.

  • Warm
  • Roomy, designed for large campers
  • Machine washable
  • Easy to pack

  • Scratchy lining
  • Thin shell not durable
  • Large and bulky, not for backpacking and hiking

8. Coleman Brazos 20 Degree Sleeping Bag

Warmth & Insulation
An inexpensive solution to overnight camping trips and hikes, Coleman’s Brazos is a basic sleeping bag that offers decent value for its price. It has a temperature rating of 20 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit, but does not get uncomfortably warm, even in milder seasons such as spring or fall. The bag features a Fiberlock Construction that prevents insulation from shifting, which not only extends the life of the sleeping bag, but also minimises cold spots. The shell is polyester, with a plush material on the edges for added comfort. The main issue is with the Tricot Knit Lining on the inside, which has a tendency to catch debris. This causes itchiness or an irritable sensation when in contact with skin, which can make it uncomfortable to sleep in. The bag comes in navy colour only.
Shape, Size & Weight
The Brazos is rectangular shaped, providing added space to move around in, and measures 33 x 75 inches. It should fit most heights of up to 5’ 11, and the bag opens up all the way and lays flat like a blanket or quilt. It is relatively lightweight at 4lbs.
Additional Features
Despite its No-Snag tag that works by plowing fabric away, performance is inconsistent and zippers will sometimes snag on the sides. The zipper is on the right side, but the bag can be flipped if you prefer it to be on the left, while the bottom portion can be left open for better breathability. Roll control should simplify packing by locking the edges of the bag together, although many users still struggle with the mechanism. There is a small pouch within for sleepers to store their valuables. Another plus side is that the bag is machine washable.

  • Warm
  • Pouch for valuables
  • Machine washable
  • Lightweight

  • Lining catches debris, causes discomfort
  • Hard to pack up

9. REVALCAMP 4 Season Sleeping Bag

Warmth & Insulation
A versatile but affordable sleeping bag that holds up in cold weather, the Revalcamp is good for campers from all walks of life, be it children, teenagers or adults. It has a temperature rating of 20 degrees Fahrenheit, but is comfortable at 40 degrees and above, so it can be used in all seasons. Made from synthetic materials, the insulation is fairly warm, with a water resistant shell that resists fading and is treated for protection against UV radiation. It is also machine washable. The bag comes in various colours, such as army green, olive, red, bordeaux and yellow.
Shape, Size & Weight
The Revalcamp is envelope shaped, which is similar to a rectangular style bag but rounded at the top. At 32 x 87 inches, it should fit sleepers up to 6 feet tall, although the dimensions are rather narrow and it may be uncomfortable for larger-sized individuals. Nevertheless, the bag weighs less than 2 lbs, which makes it easy to fit and carry around on hiking and backpacking trips.
Additional Features
Choose from left or right zip options according to your preference. The bag can be zipped together to form a larger, queen-sized bag. While it lacks a drawstring for the hood to keep out drafts, the bag does have a padded area for the head. The double-sided zipper has anti-snag properties, but the quality is quite flimsy and tends to break after several uses.

  • Lightweight, easy to pack
  • Fairly warm, suitable for all seasons
  • Water resistant
  • Various colours

  • Flimsy zippers

10. Coleman Dunnock Cold Weather Adult Sleeping Bag

Warmth & Insulation
Coleman’s Dunnock bag is a a quality mid-priced option that offers a balance of performance, value and comfort. Made for adults, the bag is able to withstand cold temperatures as low as 20 degrees fahrenheit and features Fiberlock construction to ensure the polyester fill helps to trap heat evenly, minimising cold spots. Meanwhile, Thermolock draft tube provides extra warmth and heat retention. The soft cotton lining has a fleece-like consistency that feels comfy against the skin, and the thick cushioning adds to the overall comfort. However, users should note that the shell material is not waterproof and as such, the bag should not be used in places where it is likely to get damp or wet.
Shape, Size & Weight
The Dunnock is rectangular in shape, with a spacious design that should accommodate most people up to 5 feet 11 inches tall. The material is machine washable for easy cleaning. However, it is best used for camping at a base or when transporting using a car, as the bag weighs 7.28 lbs.
Additional Features
Like most Coleman sleeping bags, the Dunnock comes with several features such as roll control, which locks the edges of the bag for convenient packing, as well as a two-way ZipPlow system which plows away fabric to prevent snagging. The zipper quality is excellent, with a large zipper handle that makes it easy to open and close. The bottom of the bag can be unzipped for extra ventilation on warmer nights. Comfort cuff adds plush material to the edge of the bag, so users can experience a soft, comforting feel close to the face, which also protects them from drafts.

11. WINNER OUTFITTERS Mummy Sleeping Bag

Warmth & Insulation
A budget buy for those looking for something inexpensive, the Winner Outfitters is a portable, lightweight sleeping bag ideal for camping in all seasons, as well as hiking, travelling and other outdoor activities. The bag has a comfort temperature range of 35 to 40 degrees, so it is best used in mild winters, fall or spring. However, the material is rather thin, so it is best paired with additional clothing or a heating pad. Insulation is 400 grammes of hollow fiber cotton filling, which does a fairly decent job at retaining heat, although it tends to get colder down at the feet area. The water resistant 350 T polyester shell further protects the sleeper from the elements, while the soft polyester lining feels soft, warm and comfortable against the skin. The bag is machine washable, and comes in dual colours of Navy Blue/Deep Patrol Blue, Olive/Khaki and bright Orange/Dark Sepia.

The box-shaped foot provides added room for movement. The bag itself is 87 inches long by 33 inches wide, and when packed down into the compression pack measures 13.8 x 7.1 inches. Weighing just under 3 lbs, it is lightweight and portable.
Additional Features
The Winner Outfitters large draft collars and draft tubes are effective at preventing cold air from entering, and the bag’s SBS zippers work well for snag-free opening and closing. However, the quality is inconsistent, with some users experiencing snagging issues. Should this occur, the company offers a 365-day warranty for manufacturing defects.
Utilise the SBS adjustable drawstring that surrounds the sleepers head for added warmth, in addition to acting as a pillow to cushion the head. The zipper can be unzipped at the bottom for extra ventilation on warmer nights. The bag comes with a compression pack for easy storage and transportation.

It comes in several colour choices, such as blue, cyan, grey and green.
Shape, Size & Weight
The Canway is rectangular shaped with a rounded hood, making it look like an envelope. Additional Features
The Canway utilises a revolutionary zipper system that features a two-way zipper, which allows users to zip themselves in from the inside with ease. The DraVelco securing strap ensures that sleepers remain snug and secure, by preventing the zipper from opening while you sleep. If the bag gets too hot, the bottom can be unzipped for better temperature control and ventilation.
